This is an inter-college competition for Year 12 students. A team of 5 students is selected on the basis of mathematical ability, being able to work as part of a team and cope with competition conditions.
The competition consists of 2 parts:
- A long term problem is set and the team designs a poster solving the problem in the 3 weeks prior to the competition. A team mascot is also created.
- On the day of the competition, the team works through a series of contests. These contests include problem solving, a cross-number puzzle and a relay - amongst other things.
The poster theme and problems are changed every year. The Narrabundah College team traditionally has funn, where 'n' is a very large number as well as being rewarded with prizes and food throughout the day.
