ANZAC Day at Narrabundah College
ANZAC Day at Narrabundah College was remembered this year in a service that commemorated the fallen from all wars. Esther, Augustine and Alexander represented the Narrabundah student body and spoke eloquently about the sacrifice of youth and the importance of shared memory, in forming a unique and relevant national identity. A catafalque party from the Australian Defence Forces Ceremonial Guard was present throughout the ceremony. Major Scott Stephens’ address reminded us of the interconnectedness of experience between Australians at Gallipoli, on the Western Front and in innumerable conflicts and contemporary campaigns to this day. A thank you is extended to former student Patrick for returning to the College to perform the Last Post. It was a moving and inspiring service, showcasing the high calibre and emotional maturity of our students.
